Geometric art is a form of non-representational artwork that utilizes straight and curved lines, as well as color, to create intricate shapes, patterns, and designs with a focus on mathematical precision and relationships. Kazimir Malevich, one of the visionary pioneers of abstract geometric art, played a significant role in the establishment of the Suprematist movement. Through his work, Malevich sought to explore absolute and pure expressions, breaking away from traditional figurative art conventions. However, the origins of geometric art can be traced back even further, as early as 900 BC, with the ancient Greek art style, particularly in vase painting. Over time, this artistic style has continued to evolve, especially within the realm of abstract art.
